March to May 2012 Victoria to Queensland

Most of March I spent in Melbourne, enjoying the city. I stayed in a caravan park with a bus at the door so transport was very easy.  In April, I started heading north for the winter.

Starting to head north now, through New South Wales and western Queensland. I am heading to the Northern Territory for winter.

New South Wales has a very spectacular coastline, Woolgoolga is one example.

January, February 2012 - Victoria

After a family Christmas in Queensland, I headed to Victoria. My first plan was to follow the Murray River along from the highlands to the S.A border.

Bendigo has many historical buildings from the gold rush days.

This early settler's house is in the pioneer village at Swan Hill. The fence is made from mallee tree roots.

The Mildura reach of the Murray River is very nice. This photo was taken from the caravan park.

The Murray River and the Darling River combine at Wentworth. The different colours show the two rivers.

 The Grampians National Park

Like Bendigo, Ballarat has some great buildings from the gold rush time. This is the railway station.
