January to April, 2013 NSW, SA

I wanted to go to the Elvis Festival in Parks.  The whole town gets behind the festival, it is a hugh success and has a wonderful almosphere. The mayor was one of the many men dressed in Elvis suits.  800 people caught the 'Priscilla Express' from Sydney, 2000 met the train and the passengers had trouble getting off. The standard of the entertainment was very good, every pub and club had entertainment from 10 a.m. It was very hot, so these venues were always full. There were lots of buskers.  I stayed at the show grounds, which also was well organised. A shuttle bus ran continuously collecting people from the main accommodation places, including the show grounds. On Sunday morning, there was a Gospel service held in the Big W car park. There were 100's of  chairs and it was full. The three days were excellent.

After the festival, I started making my way towards South Australia, through Denniliquin and Renmark.
Denniliquin has a 'ute' festival every year.

The Murray River at Renmark.

South Australia

Gawler, my final stop in South Australia. I'm heading for New South Wales now.
